Psalm 9. 1-2
Recently I was reading Psalm 9 and I love especially the beginning part. David shows us here the right outlook and perspective. In the moment he thanks God for things he did in his life and then also tells about his wonderful deeds his outlook is changing. It is moving away from maybe an outlook or perspective of fear or something else he is facing to God who has all the answers. While writing most of the Psalms David is going through some challenges in life. But instead of just looking what he can see with his eyes, he is looking at the things he cannot see. He is speaking courage to himself by reminding himself that he is on the side of the Most High!
So outlook is very important. Whatever hard time you might face in life it’s important that you are not just looking at the things you can see but choose to thank God and remind yourself of the amazing things he did in your life and the life of others. You can watch how your courage is rising and your perspective will shift. Your focus falls more on God and your relationship with him and not so much on the issue. And in that moment God can then give you courage to face whatever you need to face.
So the great thing is when you tell neighbors about the wonderful deeds of God in your life that opens up conversation and gives opportunity to share the good news. So start to give him thanks right now and start talking about the wonderful deeds!!

We hope your week was wonderful!! We had our quarterly meeting with bay area ministries which was encouraging. It really helps when you spend time with others and hear their victories and struggles. That is why God always meant for us to be in a community. Even from our first day on earth he placed us in our family community. Let’s bring our neighbors into a loving community and let them see how God can move through it!! On that note we also had our wonderful neighbor brunch which was super encouraging. We love everyone who comes and they all became a community to us and to each other. So it makes a difference!!
So don’t forget starting today to thank God for the community you have or the one He wants to build through you and build up your courage!!

Psalm 9.2-3
Vor kurzem las ich Psalm 9 und der Anfang ist einfach super! David zeigt uns hier die richtige Blick Richtung und Perspektive. In dem Moment dankt er Gott für die Dinge die er in seinem Leben getan hat und erzählt von all den wunderbaren Taten Gottes und sein Blickwinkel ändert sich. Er bewegt sich dadurch weg von einer Perspektive der Angst oder vielleicht Problemen die in bewegen zu Gott der all die Antworten hat. David hat die meisten seiner Psalmen in Zeiten der Herausforderung geschrieben. Aber anstatt nur auf das zu schauen was er mit seinen Augen sehen kann, beschließt er auf den zu schauen den er nicht mit den Augen sieht. Er ermutigt sich selber indem er sich daran erinnert dass er auf der Seite des Allmächtigen steht!
Die Blickrichtung ist sehr wichtig. Was auch immer du in deinem Leben angehst oder gegen dich steht, vergiss nicht auf den zu schauen den du nicht direkt siehst und danke ihm und erinnere dich selber daran wie wunderbar er in deinem Leben als auch im Leben von anderen gewirkt hat! Du kannst dann sehen wie dein Mut wächst und deine Perspektive sich verändert. Dein Fokus liegt dann mehr auf Gott und deine Beziehung mit ihm und nicht so stark aufs Problem. Und in diesem Moment kann dir Gott dann Mut geben alles anzugehen was gegen dich kommt.
Das geniale ist, das wenn du deinen Nachbarn von den großartigen Dingen berichtest die Gott tut, öffnet dies die Tür für Gespräche und gibt die Möglichkeit mehr über die gute Nachricht zu reden. Fang gleich an ihm zu danken und sprich über seine wunderbaren Taten!
Hallo unser Freund/in
Wir hoffe das deine Woche toll war!! Wir hatten unser vierteljährliches Meeting von allen bay Area YWAM Arbeiten. Die Zeit war ermutigend da wir von den Siegen und Problemen von anderen hören konnten und uns dann gegenseitig ermutigen konnten. Dies ist sicher ein Grund wieso Gott möchte das wir eine Gemeinschaft haben. Seit unserem ersten Tag auf dieser Erde hat er uns gleich in unsere erste Gemeinschaft gesetzt, unser Familie. Lasst uns unsere Nachbarn in eine liebende Gemeinschaft bringen und lasst uns sehen wie Gott dadurch wirken kann!! Und natürlich gibt es auch wunderbare Wege dafür wie bei uns z.B. unser Nachbar Brunch letzten Samstag. Wir haben dadurch Gemeinschaft für uns gefunden aber auch anderen Gemeinschaft miteinander eröffnet. Es macht einen Unterschied!!
Vergiss nicht Gott täglich zu danken für deine Gemeinschaft oder die die er durch dich aufbauen möchte. Und lass dir von Ihm Mut schenken!!

Right in front of me on top of my desk is a wedding invitation for my brother and his future wife with the words “Our Adventure begins”. I love that way of looking at life. When we think of Adventure we think of new experiences, exploring something, but also taking risks. With a great adventure, you never know what comes next. But most of the time we would have some kind of guide who can lead us on this adventure. As an example, if you go White River rafting you probably will go with someone who is experienced and not just by yourself in your own little rubber boat.
Direkt vor mir auf meinem Schreibtisch steht eine Hochzeitseinladung von meinem Bruder und seiner zukünftigen Frau mit den Worten „Our Adventuer begins“ Unser Abenteuer beginnt. Ich liebe diese Art auf das Leben zu schauen. Wenn wir an Abenteuer denken, denken wir z.B. an neue Erlebnisse, etwas neues erforschen aber auch an Risiko. Mit einem großen Abenteuer weißt du nie was als nächstes kommt. Aber meistens haben wir jemanden der uns auf diesem Abenteuer leiten kann. Wenn du z.B. Wildwasserrafting gehst wirst du mit jemandem gehen der sich auskennt und nicht alleine in deinem Gummiboot.
Over the last few months we looked at different people from the bible from time to time. Today we want to write about Peter, the friend of Jesus.
In den letzten Monaten haben wir immer wieder über die Leben von verschiedenen Menschen in der Bibel geschrieben. Heute möchten wir ein wenig über Petrus den Freund von Jesus schreiben.
Recently we saw a movie called “Won’t you be my neighbor”. It is about the life of Mister Steve Rogers and about his children show that played from 1968 till 2001 called Mister Rogers Neighborhood. It was a simple show that helped children to grow up with the knowledge that they are special and loved and also to encourage them to love others. But not just the children, cast members heard from Mister Rogers, some for the first time in their lives, that they are loved. Mister Rogers studied to become a minister but then felt called to the TV world. He felt that he could use that medium to really speak into the lives of the children that watch it on how unique and special they are made by father God. During his life he helped many through his true love, through hard times and tragedies. He didn’t just talk about easy topics; no he talked about everything kids could experience. But he talked about it in a way that they could go through it hopeful. His show was very simple, but he didn’t need much since he showed people how loved they are. He was a very special and unique person. He used his gifting to live the gospel and make the words love your neighbor real. Many lives are changed because of him following his calling.
Vor kurzem sahen wir den Film „wont you be my neighbor“. Es geht darin um das Leben von Mister Steve Rogers und seine Kinder Fernsehsendung die vom Jahre 1968 bis 2001 unter dem Titel Mister Rogers Neighborhood erfolgreich im amerikanischen Fernsehen gezeigt wurde. Es war eine einfache Sendung die Kindern half mit dem Wissen aufzuwachsen das sie speziell und geliebt sind und sie auch zu ermutigen andere zu lieben. Aber nicht nur Kinder, auch andere Kollegen hörten von Mister Rogers das sie geliebt sind, für manche war dies das erste Mal in ihrem Leben das ihnen das jemand gesagt hatte. Mister Rogers studierte um Pfarrer zu werden aber wurde dann von Gott zum Fernsehen berufen. Er hatte das Gefühl das er das Fernsehen dazu benutzen konnte tiefer in das Leben von Kindern zu sprechen und ihnen zu zeigen wie einzigartig und wunderbar sie gemacht sind von ihrem Vater im Himmel. Während seines Lebens half er vielen durch schwere Zeiten und Tragödien durch seine wahre Liebe. Er sprach nicht nur über einfache Themen, nein er sprach über alles was Kinder bedrücken konnte. Aber er brachte es auf einem Weg zu ihnen das sie am Ende Hoffnungsvoll waren. Seine Sendung war einfach, aber er brauchte nicht viel da er Kindern zeigte wie sehr sie geliebt sind. Er war ein wunderbarer und einzigartiger Mensch. Er benutzte seine Gaben um das Evangelium zu leben und die Worte liebe deinen Nächsten (Nachbarn) eine Realität zu machen. Viele Leben wurden dadurch verändert das er seiner Berufung folgte.
Last week Billy Graham passed away or in his words changed his address at the age of 99. I want to dedicate this video blog entry to him since he is a great example how Jesus can shine through us! Be challenged by Billy Graham and how he brought the gospel to many people and follow his example by stepping into the calling God has for you!!
Letzte Woche verstarb oder in seinen Worten ist umgezogen im Alter von 99 Jahren. Ich möchte ihm diesen Video Blog widmen da er ein gutes Beispiel dafür ist wie Jesus durch uns leuchten kann! Sei herausgefordert durch das Leben von Billy Graham und wie er das Evangelium zu vielen Menschen brachte. Folge seinem Beispiel und trete in die Berufung die Gott für dein Leben hat!!
So this is the last blog of the year and on our series Love your Neighbor. But that doesn’t mean its done. No now it starts for some of us and for some of us it keeps going. When Jesus gave the command to love our neighbor He did not put a time limit on it. No this is something we are called to for the rest of our lives. Just think if the disciples would have stopped loving their neighbor what would have happened. The world would probably look different today.
Dies ist der letzte Blog für das Jahr und für unsere Serie liebe deinen nächsten Nachbarn. Aber das heißt nicht das es nun vorbei ist. Nein nun fängt es für machen von uns an und für andere geht es weiter. Als Jesus uns diesen Auftrag gab unsere Nächsten zu lieben legte er keinen Zeitrahmen fest. Nein das ist etwas wozu wir für den Rest unseres Lebens berufen sind. Denk mal an die Jünger, wie wäre es wenn sie nach einiger Zeit aufgegeben hätten. Die Welt würde heute wahrscheinlich anders aussehen.
Now its almost been a year since God put it on our heart to write for a full year on the topic love your neighbor. We really hope you got encouraged, challenged and empowered through reading through the different ones.
Nun ist es beinahe ein Jahr seit es uns Gott ans Herz gelegt hat ein komplettes Jahr über das Thema Love your neighbor Liebe deinen Nächsten (Nachbarn) zu schreiben. Wir hoffen dass du ermutigt, herausgefordert und ermächtigt wurdest durch das lesen der verschiedenen Blogs.
Sometimes you can be in a huge crowd of people and still feel alone. This is the reality for many people in our cities and some in the countryside. But now with this Christmas season many experience it even stronger. The feeling of being isolated can make people question themselves if there is something wrong with them. As longer those lies are lingering in their lives as more it isolates them and as less likely they will connect on their own. So isolation becomes stronger and stronger. And as more isolated we are as more lies the enemy can throw at us and the more we believe it because no one tells us the truth.
Manchmal kannst du in einer Menschenmasse stehen und dich trotzdem allein fühlen. Dies ist eine Realität die viele Menschen in unseren Städten und auch auf dem Land erleben. Aber in dieser Weihnachtszeit zeigt es sich bei vielen noch stärker. Das Gefühl der Isolation und Einsamkeit kann Menschen dazu bringen sich selber zu fragen ob irgendetwas mit ihnen nicht richtig ist. Je länger diese Lügen Platz in Menschen finden je mehr isolieren sie sich und die Chance das sie selber Kontakt aufbauen schwindet. Isolation wird stärker und stärker. Und je mehr wir uns isolieren je mehr Lügen kann der Teufel uns glaubhaft machen, da uns niemand die Wahrheit sagen kann.
