[:en]How did it go sharing your love for Jesus?

Were you ever worried about no one showing up to events you planned at your house? If welcome to the Club. Many times Jen and I sat in our living room waiting to see if anyone would come to a game night. And honestly 90% of the time our fear was proven wrong. But then when I think back in my life, I realized that this fear started a lot earlier.

It’s a Tuesday night and I am getting ready to prepare the room with 2 friends for an event I was going to host. The invites were out and now I just had to wait and see who would actually show up. This night was important for me, because I was sharing with many about the work I would join in San Francisco and to find people who would partner with me in that. So the pressure was on.

All I felt before that night was God saying trust me. But when it came closer to the time and only the 2 friends sat in the room, that trust came under a big test. Now we have 5 more mins till the event and 2 other people showed up. I was excited. I started to walk to the front door to see if there are more people, but I didn’t see anyone. Now its 8pm, the time the event is supposed to start, and I am really nervous since most of the chairs were empty. I send up a quick prayer and all I hear back is trust me. After I heard those words, the doors open up and people start flogging into the room. Very soon all chairs were filled and we ended up setting up more which then got filled as well. The next thing I see is people standing in the back and an overly full room. It hit me in that moment and brought tears to my eyes, God is always faithful.

So the fear of no one showing up is a real fear. But in reality even if no one comes that you invited, they still saw that you care. And that is the response we got many times from people how loved they feel that we would invite them into our lives. And that is exactly what Jesus would do too!

So if you are worried about thanksgiving and Christmas and this is one of the reasons you don’t want to invite people over, let us assure you it’s worthied to do it anyway!! So get those invites out!!

Hey our friend

We hope your week was fantastic. We had one of our wonderful small groups which was again really encouraging. Also helping out with the kids at the boys and girls club as well as helping at the Italian elderly place is such a blessing for them and for us. If you have some extra time find a place to volunteer in your community. You will be a blessing but in return you will also be blessed!! I also cant believe its only 1.5 more weeks till thanksgiving. Time is flying. Make sure to get your invites out to neighbors!

Remember!! Don’t let fear stop you from connecting with your neighbors and putting on an event!

Markus and Jen[:de]Wie war es von deiner Liebe für Jesus mit anderen zu reden?

Warst du jemals besorgt darüber das niemand zu Veranstaltungen kommt die du bei dir zuhause geplant hast? Falls ja willkommen im Club! Oftmals saßen Jen und ich besorgt in unserem Wohnzimmer und warteten ob auch jemand zum Spiele Abend kommen wird. Und ganz ehrlich 90% der Zeiten war unsere Angst unbegründet. Aber als ich dann anfing ein wenig mehr darüber nachzudenken stellte ich fest das ich diese Angst auch zuvor in meinem Leben hatte.

Es ist ein Dienstagabend und ich bin dabei das Gemeindehaus mit 2 Freunden für meine Veranstaltung vorzubereiten. Die Einladungen waren verteilt und nun musste ich warten wer kommen wird. Dieser Abend war wichtig für mich, da ich von der Arbeit, mit der ich in San Francisco mithelfe, berichten werde und dadurch auch Partner finden würde. Der Druck war da.

Alles was ich am Abend davor gehört habe waren die Worte von Gott, vertrau Mir! Aber als wir dann kurz vor der Veranstaltung waren und nur 2 Freunde die vielen Stühle besetzten wurde dieses Vertrauen auf die Probe gestellt. Nun haben wir 5 Minuten bis zur Veranstaltung und wow 2 weitere Leute kommen! Ich war gespannt und lief zur Eingangstür mit der Hoffnung noch mehr Leute zu finden. Aber draußen war niemand. Nun ist es 8 Uhr und die Veranstaltung sollte eigentlich nun anfangen und ich war so nervös wegen all der leeren Stühle. Ich betete ein kurzes Gebet und alles was ich zurück höre sind die Worte vertrau Mir. Nachdem ich diese Worte gehört habe öffnet sich die Tür und viele Menschen strömen herein. Im nächsten Moment sind alle Stühle voll und wir stellen nun auch den Rest der Stühle auf die wir noch fanden. Und dann kurz darauf sah ich Menschen die am Ende des Raumes stehen da keine Plätze mehr frei waren. In diesem Moment trafen mich die Worte ins Herz „Vertrau mir“ und brachten Tränen in meine Augen. Gott ist immer Treu!!

Die Angst das niemand kommt ist eine echte Angst. Aber wenn wir es uns einmal realistisch anschauen, selbst wenn niemand kommt, sah jeder den du eingeladen hast dass du dich um andere sorgst. Wir bekamen oftmals die Rückmeldung von Nachbarn das sie sich so geliebt gefühlt haben das wir sie in unsere Leben einluden. Und das ist genau was Jesus tun würde!

Wenn du dir Sorgen über eine Weihnachtsfeier machst und dies einer der Gründe ist weshalb du deine Nachbarn nicht einladen möchtest, lass uns dir versichern, dass es sich trotzdem lohnt! Und nun verteile deine Einladungen!!

Hallo unser Freund/in

Wir hoffen deine Woche fantastisch war. Wir hatten unsere Kleingruppe mit Christen aus unserer Gegend welche wieder sehr ermutigend war! Auch das helfe mit Kindern beim Boys and Girls Club und dem italienischen Senioren Treff ist ein großer Segen für die Teilnehmer und Veranstalter als auch für uns. Falls du etwas extra Zeit hast, helfe in einem Programm in deiner Wohngegend aus. Du wirst ein Segen sein aber im Gegenzug wirst auch du gesegnet!

Vergiss nicht!! Lass Angst dich nicht stoppen um Weihnachten oder auch Spieleabende etc. mit Nachbarn zu feiern und sie einzuladen!!
