The last week I would call a people week. I cant remember the last time i got in touch with that many people in one week. So many different conversations and times together were wonderful. Times with a listening ear, an encouraging word, inspiration and helping hand, last week had it all. And the greatest thing is that in each of those interactions everyone left encouraged. Especially in this season everyone needs others. Be one or multiple of those things things to your neighbors and see how it will also be a blessing to you!! Let us all shine the light of Jesus through our lives in times that are dark for many!

Like we talked about in todays video blog,  ask God to show you the areas in your life where you haven’t let him in yet and invite him into those and trust him!

Wir hoffen du hattest eine wunderbare Woche!!

Die letzte Woche war definitiv eine Woche der Menschen. So viele Gespräche und Zeiten zusammen hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr und es war wunderbar. Zeiten des Zuhörens, der ermutigenden Worte und der Inspiration und der helfenden Hände. Die letzte Woche hatte all diese Dinge. Und das Beste ist das wir aus all diesen Interaktionen alle ermutigt herausgekommen sind. Speziell in dieser Zeit braucht jeder von uns andere. Sei eines oder mehrere dieser Dinge für deine Nachbarn und schaue wie es auch für dich ein Segen sein wird. Lasst uns alle das Licht Jesus durch unser Leben scheinen in Zeiten die für viele Dunkel sind!

Wie wir im Video Blog von Chroniken gesagt haben, lass dir von Gott zeigen wo du ihn noch nicht ganz in dein Leben lässt und ihm vertraust.

[:en]Why is it important?

When Jesus called us to love our neighbor, he gave us a task that is possible for each one of us and is also a blessing for each one of us. Many people around us might feel isolated or don’t feel a sense of belonging (maybe including us), and each one of us can bring change to that. You will see how loving your neighbor will change those things and also the relationships but also how it will give you a greater love for the people around you. It will leave a great impact and it builds a strong and lasting community for your neighbors and you as well to just name a few things. When I think back to last year and how the pandemic affected everyone around the world we saw more and more 1. the need of bringing God’s love to our local places and 2. How important it is to be connected with our neighbors. We got reminded of the call from Jesus also because our neighborhoods were the only places we could go to. So let’s all do this together starting today to take Jesus seriously and love our neighbor. We will give you a monthly tip with how to establish that relationship and love your neighbors in a practical way and then we will all put it into action with the neighbors right around us.  And then watch how over time your neighborhood will change! You, me, and all of us can do it so let’s do it!!

Our tip for this month is to invite a neighbor that has nowhere to go for thanksgiving! Watch the video with some tips on that!

We hope your week was a good one!! We are already in November and soon Thanksgiving and Christmas are here. A great season to connect with your neighbors and bless and love on them. After we hosted the love your neighbor workshop last weekend one of the participants wrote on the love your neighbor social network that she had so many conversations with neighbors since. I think one of the big things is that we start thinking about them and intentionally connect. Pick this week 2 neighbors and start regularly praying for them and connect with them intentionally. Build a genuine relationship with them and watch what God does through it!

Also remember our monthly love your neighbor tip and think about who of your neighbors are you gonna invite? I promise you whichever one it is you will bring joy to that person!

Als Jesus uns dazu berufen hat unseren Nächsten (Nachbarn) zu lieben, gab er uns eine Aufgabe die für jeden von uns möglich ist und gleichzeitig auch ein Segen für uns ist. Viele Menschen in unserem Umfeld fühlen sich oftmals einsam oder haben nicht das Gefühl das sie dazugehören (vielleicht fühlen wir uns auch selber manchmal so) und jeder von uns kann Veränderung in diesem Bereich bringen. Du wirst sehen wie sich diese Dinge und die Beziehungen mit Nachbarn verändern, wenn wir sie lieben, und wie auch wir selber eine größere Liebe für unsere Nachbarn haben. Es wird einen großen Eindruck hinterlassen und eine starke Gemeinschaft aufbauen für dich und sie um nur einige Dinge zu nennen. Wenn ich zum letzten Jahr zurückdenke und wie die Corona Virus Situation jeden auf der Welt traf sah man auch mehr und mehr 1. wie wichtig es ist die Liebe Gottes auch zu unseren Wohngebieten zu bringen und 2. Wie wichtig es ist mit unseren Nachbarn verbunden zu sein. Es war eine gute Erinnerung an Jesus Auftrag speziell auch deshalb da wir nicht wirklich woanders hingehen konnten. Lasst uns dies zusammentun und Jesus Auftrag unseren Nächsten/ Nachbarn zu lieben ernst nehmen. Wir werden jeden Monat einen Tipp posten wie Beziehungen aufgebaut werden können und wie wir praktisch unsere Nachbarn lieben können. Und dann werden wir das ganze aktiv mit unseren Nachbarn leben. Dann pass auf und sehe wie sich mit der Zeit deine Wohngegend verändert! Jeder von uns kann es tun deshalb lasst uns aktiv werden, Du, ich und jeder einzelne von uns!!

Eine wunderbare Zeit um mit Nachbarn in Kontakt zu kommen und ein Segen für sie zu sein. Nachdem wir letzte Woche den Love your Neighbor Workshop unterrichtet haben, schrieb eine Teilnehmerin auf dem Love your Neighbor Social Network wie sie diese Woche so viele Gespräche mit Nachbarn hatte. Es ist wichtig das wir an unsere Nachbarn denken und bewusst mit ihnen in Kontakt kommen. Wähle diese Woche 2 Nachbarn und fang an regelmäßig für sie zu beten und bewusst mit ihnen in Kontakt zu kommen. Baue eine wahre Freundschaft auf und sei gespannt wie Gott dadurch wirkt!

Vergiss auch nicht den monatlichen Liebe deinen nachbarn Tip und stelle dir die Frage welchen Nachbarn du zu Besuch einlaedst? Ich verspreche dir ganz egal welcher Nachbar es ist du bringst Freude!

How was your week?

We had a wonderful week here! We came back into everything with renewed strength after our vacation. It was wonderful to connect with different people this week; it was a real blessing. We also had our bay area meeting which was as usual encouraging.

On Saturday we taught the love your neighbor workshop for the first time on the love your neighbor social network. It was such an encouraging time for us and all the people that came. Its amazing to see how far God brought us over the years, and how he guided us in developing this tool for multiplication and keeping people with a heart for loving their neighbor connected. If you would like to do one of our workshops in the future send us an email and we will email you dates when they happen!!

Also dont forget to spend time this week to read through Colossians and let it be an inspiration and guide for you!

Wie war deine Woche?

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche. Wir starteten sie mit neu aufgetankter Kraft nach unserem Urlaub. Es war wunderbar mit verschiedenen Menschen dieser Woche in Kontakt zu kommen, was fuer ein Segen. Wir hatten auch wieder unser Bay Area Meeting welches auch ermutigend war.

Am Samstag unterrichteten wir zum ersten Mal den Love your Neighbor workshop auf dem Love your Neighbor Social Network. Es war eine ermutigende Zeit für uns als auch für die Teilnehmer. Es ist genial zu sehen wie weit uns Gott gebracht hat über die Jahre, und wie er uns darin geleitet hat diese Platform zu entwickeln zur Multiplikation und um Menschen mit einem Herzen ihre Nachbarn zu lieben miteinander verbunden zu halten. Wenn du gerne bei einem Love your neighbor Workshop in der Zukunft dabei sein möchtet schreib uns eine E-Mail und wir schicken dir die Termine, wenn sie verfügbar sind.

How was your week?

Jen and I are so excited that we are able to go on a little vaca to our favorite spot lake Tahoe. Its the first time since Caleb was born for us to leave the city besides a day workshop I lead in August. We are super excited for some refreshing time. Before we left on Friday we got to say our Goodbyes to our neighbor and also wrap up a few things that still needed to get done. How was your week? Update us on your life with a short email sometime!!

Wie war deine Woche?

Jen und ich feuen uns auf einen Urlaub zu einem unserer Lieblings Orte Lake Tahoe. Dies ist das erste mal das wir die Stadt verlassen (ausser einem Tages Workshop den ich geleitet habe) seit Caleb geboren ist. Wir freuen uns auf eine erfrischende Zeit! Bevor wir am Freitag losgefahren sind verabschiedeten wir uns noch einmal von unserem Nachbarn und erledigten alle Dinge die noch zuvor fertig werden mussten. Wie war deine Woche? How are you?

This week was sad and happy at the same time. First of we were able to have a bbq with 2 of our neighbors on our deck which was amazing! It felt more like normal again to connect with neighbors in the way we always did before. This week our whole street also had a Goodbye for one of our long term neighbor friends. He lived here for 49 years and was such a big part of the neighborhood. It was wonderful to celebrate him, but in the same way sad to see him move. Pray for a good start for him at his new spot.

No matter if you have a neighbor that is here for a short time or a long time, make sure to invest in relationship. And also fitting with our monthly love your neighbor tip at the beginning of the blog, maybe start that relationship or make it go deeper by bringing over something home baked!! So think about what you gonna bake, come up with a simple plan when and then do it!!

Wie geht es dir?

Die letzte Woche war eine frohe aber gleichzeitig auch eine traurige. Wir starteten sie indem wir zusammen mit 2 Nachbarn auf unserem Deck grillten. Wir hatten eine super Zeit. Es fühlte sich wieder so an wie vor der Pandemie wo wir ständig Nachbarn bei uns zuhause hatten. Dann später in der Woche hatten wir mit der ganzen Straße eine Verabschiedung Feier für einen unserer ersten Nachbar Freunde in der Gegend.  Er lebte hier für 49 Jahre und wurde ein großer Teil unserer Straße. Es war wunderbar ihn zu feiern aber gleichzeitig auch traurig ihn wegzuziehen zu sehen. Betet für einen guten Start für ihn an seinem neuen Wohnort.

Ganz egal ob du einen Nachbarn hast der für kurze oder lange Zeit neben dir wohnt, investiere in diese Beziehung! Und ganz passend dazu ist unser monatlicher Love your neighbor, liebe deinen Nachbarn Tip am Anfang des Blogs, baue eine Beziehung auf oder vertiefe eine Beziehung indem du etwas für deine Nachbarn backst. Denk darüber nach was du backen möchtest und plane eine Zeit zu backen und es dann zu deinen Nachbarn zu bringen! Und los geht’s!!

How was your week?

We had a good week here in San Francisco. The summer fully arrived with Tshirt weather which is awesome! That also enables us to be even more outside and are able to connect in a natural way. And when you are outside you start thinking about people and maybe think or see little things you can do for them. As an example last week we were able to welcome back a neighbor from a longer trip with a card and a small gift and it brought so much joy to him. Another neighbor we saw working with some boxes and I got to help him with that small moving project and he felt as well so blessed. Little things done with love make such a difference in peoples lives and the great thing is we can all do that!! We want to encourage you to go for a walk on your block and think of your neighbors and then do something small for them this week. You will brighten up their day!

Also dont forget to send time to read through Philippians and get inspired!

Wie war deine Woche?

Wir hatten eine gute Woche hier in San Francisco. Der Sommer ist nun vollständig angekommen und mit ihm das T-Shirt Wetter. Das ist super da es uns ermöglicht noch mehr draußen mit Nachbarn in Kontakt zu kommen. Wenn du nach draußen gehst siehst du Dinge bei denen du Nachbarn helfen kannst oder denkst an sie, wenn du an ihrem Haus vorbeiläufst. In der letzten Woche kam einer unserer Nachbarn von einem langen Trip zurück und wir schrieben ihm eine Karte und brachten ihm ein kleines Geschenk und das brachte so viel Freude zu ihm. Ein anderer Nachbar musste einige Kisten in der Garage um Stapeln und ich konnte ihm kurz dabei helfen was ein großer Segen für ihn war. Kleine Dinge getan mit Liebe machen einen großen Unterschied im Leben von Menschen und das geniale ist das jeder von uns etwas Kleines tun kann. Wir möchten dich ermutigen diese Woche auf einem Spaziergang in deiner Wohngegend zu gehen und an deine Nachbarn zu denken und dann tue etwas Kleines für sie! Du wirst ihren Tag aufhellen!!

Verbringe auch etwas Zeit um durch den Philipper Brief zu lesen und sei ermutigt!

How are you?

I cant believe that its already the last week in September. This year went by so fast. But looking back its amazing to see how God is moving things forward in so many areas. Just in this last week we finished a 21 day Love your neighbor challenge with a local church in the bay area. It was a blessing working together with them to make a difference in their community. We also had great times connecting with a friend in the neighborhood over a meal and talk about our love for Jesus. Spend this week some time to think about why you love Jesus and then share it with others.

Also spend some time to hink about how you can honor God in your life?

Wie geht es dir?

Ich kann es nicht glauben das wir bereits in der letzten September Woche sind. Dieses Jahr ist so schnell vergangen. Aber wenn ich zurückschaue sehe ich wie Gott in verschiedenen Bereichen viele Dinge vorwärtsbewegt hat. In der letzten Woche haben wir eine 21 taegige liebe deinen Nachbarn Herausforderung abgeschlossen mit einer Gemeinde im bay area. Es war ein Segen mit ihnen zusammen zu arbeiten und ihnen Hilfe und Anleitung zu geben einen Unterschied in ihrem Gebiet zu machen.  Wir hatten diese Woche auch eine wunderbare Zeit zusammen mit einem Freund aus unserem Gebiet Mittag zu essen und über unsere Liebe für Jesus zu sprechen. Verbringe diese Woche ein wenig Zeit damit darüber nachzudenken wieso du Jesus liebst und dann teile es mit anderen!

Denke auch darüber nach wie du Gott in deinem Leben ehren kannst?

[:en]After the Judges in Israel the 2 books of Samuel introduce us to the first 2 kings of Israel. We will find out how different they were. We want to give you a little introduction into those books with this video blog so when you read them you have hopefully a better understanding.

We hope you had a wonderful week!! Jen, Caleb and I had a good week here in SF. We enjoyed some sunny days here!! During that wonderful weather we were able to connect with multiple neighbors and leaders in the neighborhood and could encourage and inspire them. On Saturday we had a prayer walk together with others in our church here in North Beach. It is so important to pray for the place we live. When you prayer walk you actually get to pray for the things you see and also the things god puts on your heart for your community. As an example, It might be praying for community and against loneliness and isolation, pray that people find Jesus, pray for business owners and their businesses. Try it out this week. Also lets ask ourselves the question along with the video topic above where we stand in life. Are we more like a Saul or a David? After we got more clarity on that, lets ask God to help us become more like David.

Wir hoffen du hattest eine super Woche!! Jen, Caleb und ich hatten eine gute Woche hier in SF. Wir genossen einige sonnige Tage! Während dieser wunderbaren Zeit hatten wir die Möglichkeit mit mehreren Nachbarn und Leitern in unserem Wohngebiet in Kontakt zu kommen und diese zu ermutigen und zu inspirieren. Am Samstag gingen wir zusammen mit unserer Gemeinde auf einem Gebets Spaziergang in North Beach. Es ist so wichtig für unsere Wohngebiete und Orte zu beten. Wenn du auf einen Gebets Spaziergang gehst kannst du für Dinge beten die du siehst und für Dinge die Gott dir für deine Wohngegend ans Herz legt. Es mögen z.B. Dinge sein wie für Gemeinschaft und gegen Einsamkeit und Isolation zu beten, das Menschen Jesus finden oder auch für Geschäftsinhaber die Läden oder Geschäfte in deinem Ort betreiben.  Versuche es diese Woche. [:en]Why is it important?

When Jesus called us to love our neighbor, he gave us a task that is possible for each one of us and is also a blessing for each one of us. Many people around us might feel isolated or don’t feel a sense of belonging (maybe including us), and each one of us can bring change to that. You will see how loving your neighbor will change those things and also the relationships but also how it will give you a greater love for the people around you. It will leave a great impact and it builds a strong and lasting community for your neighbors and you as well to just name a few things. When I think back to last year and how the pandemic affected everyone around the world we saw more and more 1. the need of bringing God’s love to our local places and 2. How important it is to be connected with our neighbors. We got reminded of the call from Jesus also because our neighborhoods were the only places we could go to. So let’s all do this together starting today to take Jesus seriously and love our neighbor. We will give you a monthly tip with how to establish that relationship and love your neighbors in a practical way and then we will all put it into action with the neighbors right around us.  And then watch how over time your neighborhood will change! You, me, and all of us can do it so let’s do it!!

Hi our friend

How are you?

Our week here was a bit of a whirlwind. Jen attended a memorial of a friend from her book club with some very influential leaders in the city. She was able to share with everyone an experience her friend had with Jesus before she died. Everyone was encouraged. Then we had a second memorial for a friend who passed unexpectedly from our small group. He just got baptized in July and was so on fire for Jesus.  I want to ask you to keep all the people that attended the memorial where Jen shared and the family and friends of our small group in your prayers, especially in this time of their grief.

We also had some not so sad moments this week with a picnic with our encouragement group. We met all up together in the park and enjoyed each others company. It was a wonderful time.

Markus and Jen[:de]Wieso ist das wichtig?

Als Jesus uns dazu berufen hat unseren Nächsten (Nachbarn) zu lieben, gab er uns eine Aufgabe die für jeden von uns möglich ist und gleichzeitig auch ein Segen für uns ist. Viele Menschen in unserem Umfeld fühlen sich oftmals einsam oder haben nicht das Gefühl das sie dazugehören (vielleicht fühlen wir uns auch selber manchmal so) und jeder von uns kann Veränderung in diesem Bereich bringen. Du wirst sehen wie sich diese Dinge und die Beziehungen mit Nachbarn verändern wenn wir sie lieben, und wie auch wir selber eine größere Liebe für unsere Nachbarn haben. Es wird einen großen Eindruck hinterlassen und eine starke Gemeinschaft aufbauen für dich und sie um nur einige Dinge zu nennen. Wenn ich zum letzten Jahr zurückdenke und wie die Corona Virus Situation jeden auf der Welt traf sah man auch mehr und mehr 1. wie wichtig es ist die Liebe Gottes auch zu unseren Wohngebieten zu bringen und 2. Wie wichtig es ist mit unseren Nachbarn verbunden zu sein. Es war eine gute Erinnerung an Jesus Auftrag speziell auch deshalb da wir nicht wirklich woanders hingehen konnten. Lasst uns dies zusammentun und Jesus Auftrag unseren Nächsten/ Nachbarn zu lieben ernst nehmen. Wir werden jeden Monat einen Tipp posten wie Beziehungen aufgebaut werden können und wie wir praktisch unsere Nachbarn lieben können. Und dann werden wir das ganze aktiv mit unseren Nachbarn leben. Dann pass auf und sehe wie sich mit der Zeit deine Wohngegend verändert! Jeder von uns kann es tun deshalb lasst uns aktiv werden, Du, ich und jeder einzelne von uns!!

Hallo Freunde

Wie geht es dir?

Unsere Woche hier war ein wenig anders. Jen an einer Gedenkfeier für eine Freundin aus ihrem Buch Club Teil welche von sehr vielen Einflussreichen Leuten besucht wurde. Sie konnte dort ein Zeugnis davon geben wie Jesus ihre verstorbene Freundin berührte bevor sie verstarb. Alle im Raum waren ermutigt. Dann hatten wir noch eine 2. Beerdigung von einem Freund aus unserer Kleingruppe der unerwartet verstarb. Er hat sich erst im Juli taufen lassen und war Feuer und Flamme für Jesus. Ich möchte dich bitten mit uns für seine Familie und Freunde und für die ganzen Menschen die die andere Gedenkfeier besucht haben in dieser Zeit der Trauer zu beten.

Wir hatten auch einige nicht traurige Momente mit einem Picknick mit unserer Ermutigungsgruppe. Wir haben uns alle im Park getroffen und die Zeit miteinander genossen. Eine super Zeit.
