How was your Easter week? Catch us up by sending us an email on how you are doing. We had a great week in San Francisco. Some of the nights we had friends and family come for visits, which was awesome. This week YWAM also has a cities conference in Texas. Please pray for the people that are going that GOd gives them an even bigger heart to reach our cities around the Globe.

The Cross and what it brought to us

With celebrating Easter last weekend it made me think of something that  i have been seeing happening a lot:

Many times I saw people just looking at the act of Jesus dying on the cross but then getting stuck there. It would be comparable to having a full education to be a doctor but then just look at the degree but never use it. Don’t understand me wrong in this. It is really important to look at the cross and to remember what Jesus did for us, but it is as important to look at why He did it. We need to understand that Jesus went on the cross to reconcile us with the father and set us free from sin which holds us away from God. His dying on the cross set us FREE. But his focus was not only the cross since it was only a part of his journey, His purpose was to bring freedom and the good news to each one of us. But even more important with going through all that He is saying that He believes in each one of us more than we do. Look at Peter who denied Him 3 times, Jesus still choose him as a rock to build his church on. We need to start focusing on that reality of freedom that he gave us and the reality of him teaching us how to bring the good news into the world. If we don’t do this we are missing out on the fullness of why Jesus came. We need to believe the fact that He truly set us free and we need to stop disqualifying ourselves for things that He is calling us to do. Jesus said that He did great things but we will do greater things. Jesus taught his disciples all things that are possible with the goal to have them do even greater things than he ever did. And they did, 12 people brought the gospel into the world and reached more people then Jesus during his whole life time. Jesus was talking to each believer when He said that. And I want to say, who gives us the right to disagree with Jesus?

But what did he call us to do? He called us to bring the good news into the world and to make disciples. And this is something each one of us needs to do. It can be at our workplace, at our homes or by reaching our Neighbors (read more about how you can do that with the ministry concept God gave us under this link). Lets do this together, let’s start living and believing that God can use each one of us. Let’s live with the mentality and mindset that we can do all things through Him who gives me strength. Let’s change the world with the hope Jesus brought.

Wie war deine Oster Woche? Schreib uns mal ein kleines Update von Dir und wie es dir geht. Wir hatten eine gute Woche in San Francisco. Wir hatten diese Woche an einigen Abenden Besuch von Freunden und Verwandten. Es war super. Diese Woche ist auch die YWAM Stadt Konferenz bei der viele YWAM’er sein werden. Bete dafür das viele Menschen ein Herz für Stadt Mission bekommen.

Das Kreuz und was es zu uns brachte

Da wir letztes Wochenende Ostern gefeiert haben wurde ich an etwas erinnert das ich sehr oft sah in den letzten 10 Jahren als Missionar:

Oftmals sah ich wie Menschen sich nur auf den sterbenden Jesus am Kreuz konzentrieren, aber dann dort mit Ihrem Fokus stecken bleiben. Das wäre genauso, wie wenn du ein abgeschlossenes Studium als Arzt hast aber dann immer nur auf das Diplom schaust, es aber niemals benutzt. Versteh mich hier nicht falsch. Es ist sehr wichtig aufs Kreuz zu schauen und zu verstehen, was Jesus dort für uns getan hat, aber es ist mindestens genau so wichtig wenn nicht sogar wichtiger darauf zu schauen wieso Er es getan hat. Wir müssen verstehen, dass Jesus ans Kreuz ging um uns Versöhnung mit Gott zu bringen und uns Freiheit von Sünden schenkt, die uns von Gott fernhalten. Sein Tod am Kreuz schenkte uns Freiheit. Aber sein Fokus war nicht nur das Kreuz, da es ja nur ein Teil seiner Zeit auf der Erde war, sein Ziel war es Freiheit und die gute Nachricht zu jedem zu bringen. Aber noch viel wichtiger – mit all dem was er durchgemacht hat – ist seine Nachricht das Er ein riesen Vertrauen in jeden von uns hat. Schau dir Petrus an, der ihn 3-mal verleugnet hat. Er wählte Ihn trotzdem als den Fels auf den Er seine Kirche baute. Wir müssen anfangen unseren Fokus auf die Realität der Freiheit zu legen, die er uns geschenkt hat und auf seine Worte, in denen er uns unterrichtete das Evangelium in die Welt zu bringen und Jünger zu machen. Wenn wir dies nicht tun, verpassen wir den Hauptgrund wieso Jesus in diese Welt kam. Wir müssen diese Wahrheit für uns selber glauben, dass er uns wirklich frei gemacht hat und aufhören uns für untauglich zu erklären für Dinge für die Er uns berufen hat. Jesus sagte, dass er große Dinge tat, aber das wir noch größere Dinge tun werden. Jesus kam als Lehrer der seinen Jüngern zeigte was möglich ist mit dem Grund, dass sie dieses Wissen nutzen um noch großartigere Dinge zu tun. 12 Menschen brachten das Evangelium in die Welt und erreichten dadurch mehr Menschen als Jesus in seinem ganzen Leben. Jesus sprach zu jedem Christen als er diesen Kommentar machte. Wer gibt uns das Recht zu sagen das Jesus in diesem Punkt falsch liegt?

Aber zu was hat er uns berufen? Er hat uns dazu berufen das Evangelium in die Welt zu bringen und Menschen zu taufen und sie zu Jüngern zu machen. Das ist etwas das jeder von uns tun muss. Das kann an unserem Arbeitsplatz sein, in unserer Familie oder indem wir unsere Nachbarn erreichen (lies mehr darüber wie du dies tun kannst und wie du dafür das Konzept benutzen kannst das uns Gott gegeben hat. Klicke auf diesen Link). Lasst uns dies zusammen tun, lasst uns mit dem Glauben leben, dass Gott jeden einzelnen von uns benutzen kann. Lasst uns mit dieser Mentalität und Einstellung leben, dass wir allem gewachsen sind durch den der uns stark macht. Lasst uns die Welt mit der Hoffnung Jesus verändern.
