Seek first the Kingdom Part 2 What is our job

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6.33

When Jesus talks about seeking the kingdom first he is talking about that our life focus needs to be first on seeking God’s kingdom. We need to make this the first priority. But I think many times we try to figure out our life first like finding a job or get all our life plans figured out. But what Jesus is saying here is that when we seek the kingdom first god will take care of all those things as well. So if our first focus in life is to serve god and brining his kingdom to earth all other things will fall in place. Last week we talked about how to do that by having relationship with our Father in Heaven. This week we talk about what our job is.

So the first thing we need to do in our life is asking god what our role is in building the kingdom. It might be becoming a millionaire and through that influence the rich of this world. But maybe it is to reach out to the homeless and sell all we have and live in a small room in the inner city. Or maybe it means for you to stay exactly where you are at and reach the people that live around you, your neighbors. It will be different for every single person so you can’t really say to someone what their calling is. But there is a way to find out!

Last week I wrote about how seeking the kingdom means having relationship with him. That part is really significant. Through our relationship we are connected and through that we hear him and get understanding of his kingdom plan for us. The importance is really our heart position. Are we letting him guide us in every area of our life or are we still living a life chasing after survival and then maybe if there is time left do something for the kingdom? No our whole life needs to be focused on seeking the kingdom and bringing it on this earth. And this needs daily adjustments by asking the question how can I bring your kingdom to earth today? Did I follow your guidance or did I just follow the things I want to do out of a survival instinct?
Its never too late to do that as long as you life. Do a course correction today if needed.

Hallo unser/e Freund/in

Trachte zuerst nach Gottes Reich Teil 2 Was ist unser Job

Trachtet zuerst nach dem Reich Gottes und nach seiner Gerechtigkeit, so wird euch das alles zufallen. Matthäus 6.33

Wenn Jesus davon spricht dass wir zuerst nach dem Reich Gottes trachten sollen, spricht er davon das dies unser wichtigster Fokus im Leben sein muss. Wir müssen dies unsere erste und höchste Priorität machen. Aber ich denke das wir oftmals versuchen zuerst unser Leben zu planen wie z.B. den idealen Job zu finden oder indem wir unseren ganzen Lebens Plan erstellen. Aber was Jesus hier sagt ist revolutionär. Wenn wir nach Gottes Reich trachten dann wird Gott für alles andere sorgen. Wenn unser Haupt Fokus darin liegt Gott zu dienen und mit Ihm zusammen sein Königreich auf diese Welt zu bringen wird auch alles andere  zusammenkommen. Letzte Woche sprachen wir darüber wie wir das tun können indem wir Beziehung mit unserem Vater im Himmel haben. In dieser Woche sprechen wir darüber was unser Job ist.

Das erste was wir in unserem Leben tun müssen ist Gott zu fragen was unsere Aufgabe ist um sein Königreich zu bauen. Es ist vielleicht ein Millionär zu werden und dann damit die reichen dieser Welt zu erreichen. Aber es könnte auch sein das unsere Aufgabe ist die Obdachlosen in unseren Großstädten zu erreichen, alles was wir besitzen zu verkaufen und dann in einem Zimmer in der Innenstadt zu leben. Oder vielleicht heißt es für dich genau dort zu sein wo du gerade bist und die Menschen zu erreichen die um dich herum leben, deine Nachbarn. Gott hat unterschiedliche Aufgaben für jeden einzelnen von uns, daher ist es schwierig jemandem zu sagen was deren Berufung ist. Aber es gibt einen Weg dies herauszufinden.

Letzte Woche schrieb ich darüber das Trachten nach seinem Reich heißt Beziehung mit Ihm zu haben. Dieses Punkt ist sehr wichtig. Durch unsere Beziehung sind wir mit Ihm verbunden und dadurch hören wir Ihn und fangen an zu verstehen was sein Plan für unser Leben ist. Das wichtigste ist wirklich der Stand unseres Herzens. Lassen wir Ihn uns in jedem Bereich leiten, oder jagen wir weiterhin dem überleben nach und falls dann noch Zeit bleibt tun noch etwas für Gottes Königreich? Nein der Fokus unseres ganzen Lebens muss darin liegen nach Gottes Reich zu trachten und es auf diese Erde zu bringen. Es ist wichtig das wir täglich unseren Kurs justieren indem wir die Frage stellen wie kann ich dein Reich heute auf diese Erde bringen? Bin ich deiner Leitung nachgefolgt oder bin ich wieder meinem Überlebensinstinkt gefolgt? Es ist nie zu spät diese Fragen zu stellen, solange du lebst. Falls du eine Kurs Korrektur brauchst mache sie heute.
